Veterinary Assistant or Technician
For anyone who wants to do something just a little different, be ready to have some adventures! We are a veterinary house call practice that serves the greater Rochester area and we are looking for a part time veterinary assistant or technician to work directly with an experienced veterinarian. We usually visit 5-7 homes a day (mostly one pet per home) and are able to give our extremely grateful patients and clients a great deal of personalized attention. Great supportive and motivated staff! We love our jobs and want you to love yours too!
The position will involve providing compassionate and gentle care to all of our patients and being kind, understanding and very clear with all our clients. We emphasize education, preservation of the human-animal bond, communicating for our patients who can’t speak and providing excellent customer service and it the job of our assistants/technicians to help provide these services while helping make sure that everyone is safe.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, positive person who is creative, adaptable and flexible. The candidate must be a quick learner and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently. We need an individual with a strong work ethic, and great communication and customer service skills. Strong computer and technology aptitude is required, as is experience with gentle restraint of dogs and cats.
Job Duties include
helping prepare gear and loading the vehicle
restraining patients safely for the doctor's examination and procedures
preparing medications to dispense
helping to chart medical notes
processing lab samples
restocking inventory and supplies
communicating with the client before, during, and after appointments
making sure we don't leave anything behind!

Client Service Representative:

Doorbell Vet is a house call veterinary service located right in Rochester. We have an amazing staff and wonderful clients and patients. Our receptionists are an integral part to our success in providing quality compassionate care to our clients.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, positive receptionist who is creative and has good logic/problem solving skills. The candidate must be a quick learner, detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently. We need an individual with a strong work ethic, and great communication and customer service skills. Strong computer and technology aptitude is required.
Job duties include:
Answering phones and emails
Client call backs
Accurately maintaining medical records
General office duties.
Must be available to work Saturdays and weekdays.
We are looking for a candidate with potential to advance and take on other management responsibilities.
2 years Customer Service (phone) experience is required.
Please note that we do not see pets at our office, all of our patients we see in their own homes but we DO have clients drop off samples or pick up prescriptions at our office.
