Welcome 2020!

With the start of a new decade as well as new year we decided to revamp our blog! New name, new author, new content.
We will be updating the blog a few times a month with all sorts of information for you. Each month we will have a theme that will run for the month, for example, January will be all about your pet’s overall health!
As you may have noticed, we have started sharing bits of fun information on our Facebook page. In addition to those posts, at the end of the month we will be giving a preview about what next months topic will be and will be asking you, our clients, if there is anything specific you want us to address!
Have you ever wondered about who the person is answering the phones at the office? What and who is a Veterinary Technician or Assistant? And most importantly, who are all these amazing Veterinarians that come to you home?! We will be featuring a different staff member every month and telling you a bit more about them. Where they went to school, who their furbabies are, what’s their favorite sandwich to eat on a sunny day in July, you know, the important stuff! One of the things we love in addition to meeting all of the pets and providing them with the best possible service, is meeting you lovely folks! Our Veterinarians take a very personal approach to care and express all of the time how much they love their clients. So, we thought we would share some things about us to return the favor!
Things to look forward to in the month of January:
NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS!
How to eat the best (and staying out of the trash can) (Diet)
When you don’t have x-ray vision how can you tell what’s going on (Bloodwork)
Alternatives to being a hamster in a wheel (Exercise)

Dr. Marion’s Pets
There have been some exciting happenings at Doorbell Vet this past year, with the introduction of new staff members, as well as providing reduced fee technician appointments and cremation and transport of your beloved animal when they cross over the rainbow bridge!
New Staff Members:
We welcomed Samantha Knorrmeier, Practice Manager who has been working diligently to bring exciting new marketing and business strategies into play!
Also joining the team is Technologist, Kiersten Deuel who brings a wealth of knowledge to the office and has great recommendations for the nutrition needs of pets with dietary restrictions. Kiersten will be available for technician appointments for services like: booster vaccines, nail trims and blood draws at a reduced rate of $77 per visit (plus the cost of service). Ask Kiersten about our Hills to Home Service!
Another great addition is Johnna Jamieson, Veterinary Assistant extraordinaire! Johnna is out on home visits with our Veterinarians to assist in all your pet care needs. Johnna is currently studying for her Technologist exam and will be an even bigger asset to our growing team!
Lastly, our latest addition is Stephanie Holtz who has joined our team as our Client Service Representative. Stephanie’s primary role is making sure your appointment needs are met and any follow up, questions or concerns you have will be addressed in a timely and courteous manner.
Transport and Cremation Services:
Often when making the hard decision of euthanizing our beloved pets we don’t think beyond that moment. Introduced in December, we have begun working with Pet Passages of Ontario, NY to meet all of your needs, including the transport to and from the crematorium and the return of your pets remains back home for an additional fee. This allows the owner to focus solely on their loved one while allowing us to handle all of the details. We have found our clients appreciate not having to make multiple phone calls during an already difficult time. To find out more about these services contact our office at 585-441-0200.
At Doorbell Vet we are working hard every day to improve our services and availability to our clients. Keep checking back each month to review our blog on a variety of topics that are current to the care of your furry friends! You may also send suggestions on topics you may want to know more about to info@doorbellvet.com.
We are looking forward to an amazing year!
